Meet your 2018 Mellophone Staff Member!
I went to Taft High School in San Antonio, Texas. I'm a junior music education major and I play the French Horn! I have been a part of SOSA for three years and this is my first year on staff. I am a part of SOSA for a few reasons: I really love performing, whenever we go to halftime and play prelude I remember why, standing with this awesome band generating this wall of sound is a great feeling and SOSA is full of some of the greatest people on campus. I have met some of my closest friends while being in this ensemble, just like so many others have. My favorite quote is, "life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This quote is special for two reasons! It was the basis for our indoor show last year and it also helped me through some difficult times of my own. To finish off I'm just really excited to have a great year with this ensemble and put on shows that really get people's attention. I am also a sister of Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority and a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia!
